Day 2
Well we are all a happier bunch today after an awsome nights rest. After breakfast this morning we headed of the the basketball courts, where Mr B and Paster Pete attempted to educate us all on the game of basketball which they expected us to be "pro players" after only 2 hours. Lucky for them we are all fast learners. He He He. There was some awsome shooting and defending had by all though the best hang time was from barney bear. When we thought we knew it all it was time to hit the showers before lunch, a much needed necesity as you can imagine exercise and humidity creates lots and lots of sweat. So we looked like we’d had already showered with our clothes on however this was not the case. Although- we enjoyed the feeling so much ... that we then packed our sweat-drenched clothing with our nice clean attire just to mingle the aromas. Now smelling gorgeous (well the girls did) we enjoyed a traditional Malay lunch. After lunch we unpacked our singing talent and performed in front of the hotel concierge and hotel guests – what a treat for them, even if we do say so ourselves. After this awesome event Mr B then treated us to a drink of our choice in one of the local coffee lounges. The iced coffee, to our surprise, was made without milk – just like iced tea. Very nice. We played Jenga, Boggle, Cards and laughed ‘til we cried. We then departed the hotel on the coach and thoroughly enjoyed the peak hour traffic, but we amused ourselves by playing the number plate game. Can you believe that there were so many cars from our country towns driving around in Brunei? The only problem that we had was thinking up a country town for KK??? Any suggestions? We have arrived at the airport to find that our flight has been delayed by 2 hours and so we have eaten dinner at ... Jollibee again. Lucky we like Jollibee. We are currently sitting on the floor at Brunei International Airport amusing ourselves with cards, reading, conversation, and of course, blogging. We are due to arrive at the K.I.M. centre at 3am. IT’S GOING TO BE A REALLY LATE NIGHT! Missing you all, but building great relationships .....

Hi there,
ReplyDeleteJust checking the photos so far - I haven't seen Barney Bear and Mr B in any photos together? Are they one in the same person? I have only seen the back of the supposed Mr B - is it really him? Or is it Barney Bear in a Mr Beacham suit?? I saw BB in the basketball ring - Mr B is the only one tall enough to reach that high...... You can see why I'm thinking these things.... Please explain - maybe a photo of these two together would put my concerns to rest.....
Have a great day guys.
Love and prayers
Mrs J (Mum/Kerrie)xoxoxox
I said 'love' too much.....:)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that poor bear! I hope he (or someone on his behalf) is keeping his journal up to date so we can read about the challenges he is facing with your help and ingenuity:)
ReplyDeleteLiv, why is Barney's head under what looks like a glorified version of a hair dryer? I am asking only because I am so sure that the primary kids will ask me when they come in, so I need an answer.
Glad you enjoyed your time in Brunei despite the humidity. Also the food at Jollibee.
Take care and safe travel to Manila.
God Bless
Mrs Tidy

ReplyDeleteHope you are all enjoying your role as 'étudiants sans frontières' (students without borders).
ReplyDeleteWell, it's about that time; literary quote time(also doubling as inspirational words of wisdom)
"Do not follow where the path may lead.
Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." or "If you always do what you've always done, you will continue to get the same result"
See, inspiiiirational... :)
Laugh a minute time also - this hilarious joke has a maths flavour. "Q. What does trigonometry have in common with a beach?
A: Tan Gents"
Have fun and be well :)
